I just got my 455 into my car. It started right up. No smoke no noise. So i took it on the freeway for about 20 minutes and no issues and no overheating.

I decided i wanted to check the insides of the oil filter so i used a oil Filter cutter then used brake cleaner to clean out the filter and this is what i see.

Should i be concerned or is this normal wear and tear? Oil pickup was clogged before but i cleaned it out.

Forgot to add this was the original oil filter that.was on the engine when i bought it. I heard it run before it was pulled from the donor car and was testing it out today.

OZGS455 Oh what a wonderful day!

I've never cut up an oil filter.
Flush and change the oil and fit a new filter, drive it and if you like cut up the new filter and see how it looks.
If there was crap in the filter then it's doing its job.
