I have a 455 that is going to be powered by a centrifigal supercharger and I am kind of worried about the cam specs. The car has Stage 2 Street Eliminators ported by Gessler that flow 320 at .500 on intake and 248 on the exhaust at .500. The motor will have 8.75 to 1 compression, JE pistons, sportsman rods, single plane TA intake, 850 HP double pumper, stage 2 headers with 2 1/8 inch primaries and 3 1/2 inch collectors, MSD electronics, Turbo 400 with Gear Vendors and 3.73 gears. The cam that was chosen was 232/244 at 50 507/526 lift on a 112 lobe center. Is this too mild or because of the blower will I be okay. The old motor was the same minus the cylinder heads (Iron ported by Gessler) and Hemi Killer cam. The car ran 126 mph easily on pump gas at only 7.6 lbs of boost. Part of me wants to make the cam larger at 50, but with the same split and higher lift numbers at .500 as well. Any help would be great. The car is 4200 lbs with me in it.

    Combination.....

To me the cam sounds small. BUT, if you are only going to hit it with 7 lbs of boost then that cam sounds close to right. 9.0 comp and more boost would need more cam. It's all in the combination. Or if you just plan more boost then you may want more cam. Defintely more lift. 1.7 rockers???? Buick cam cores have a small base circle and the added ratio would make the cam work better and give you the added lift without getting crazy on the ramp rates. Your old cam was bigger but with worst flowing iron heads. With Stg 2's the same cam with the same pulley combination should give you less boost since your heads flow better and your exhaust got bigger.
