I just got a set and would like to get back down into the mid 700 gram level. There's no info in the box but I think the Eagle Esp 6.635 is around 815 grams. Is it possible to grind on the tips of the H on the side beams? Trying to find any way possible to lighten the load on the crank. The pistons are Ross and if I remember right they're around 650 grams.
I wouldn't even try. We had .010" deck height with an .018" compressed head gasket & all the pistons just kissed the head on the ole Nail @ 7000. We didn't lighten them. Never had this kind of stretch problem with the stocker rods @ 8000+.
