Is a 3.73 "thin" gear any weaker???

Racers,

I have a Strange 4 series spool and am thinking that 4.10's maybe too much. I can get what known as a 3.73 "thin" gear to run with the 4 series spool. Is a 3.73 "thin" gear weaker? Will it shatter the first time with the transbrake? Should I just buy a 3 series spool and a normal set of 3.73's?

You should be fine. As long as you set them up correct they will be as strong as any other set. Jim
