    WOW!

That is the 1st mistake I've found on this CD version catalog. In 70 they show Pearl White, in 71 called it "Ivory"?, then in 72 it is just White.:Do No:

I recall Fisher manual had the Pearl as the color, never have I heard of it refered to as Ivory. This is strange, I will double check tonight.:Smarty:

I thought it was strange to have 3 light colors in 71, Sandalwood, Pearl White, & "Ivory"!:Dou: , but didn't think about it yesterday.:Dou: :Dou:

But then again, would "Ivory" really be different than Pearl White?:Do No:

    Dan,

I have this great book called American car ID Numbers 1970-1979 (also have other years) and it's pretty accurate I believe.

For 1970 it also says Pearl White, and 1973 it changes to just White, like on your CD.

Books, CD's and other infosources are created by people, so wrong input is wrong output, just like with computers..........

I would like to hear what your little research of that Fisher manual will reveal, it's not a big deal ofcourse I agree, but just for the records :TU:

The CD was created from the original.

I don't know a bunch about puters, but the pages appeared to be "Scanned in"!

Upholstery colors were named differently depending on which piece of Original GM literature you are referencing, and which car make, ie. Chevy, Buick, Olds, Pontiac, you have.
Some 69-71 literature called the "white" color either Pearl White, or Ivory. The name seems to have been changed to make it more "appealing" to retail buyers. That's why the trim # is important, not the name.
The same thing happened in 67 with the Dove/Light Fawn color listings, both are the same color. Dark Fawn is also called Gold.
Also, sometimes GM listed the color differently then Fisher Body. There are many other examples.

GM also changed the name for exterior paint colors, The same paint code for a Buick has a different name then the same color for an Olds, Chevy, etc.
    Hope this helps.

Only Oldsmobile is using the Ivory (without White) name for trim in modelyear 1970.
Can't find that name with the other GM cars ?

    Well

I never found the color charts in the Fisher Body, but I did find Pearl White in the 71 Asm Man. Nowhere else did I find a ref to Ivory.

I have a 71 sales lit, I'll check it tonight, maybe it will have an Ivory ref.:Comp:

Just checked, everything I have sez Pearl.

    If you guys have 1970 and/or 1971 Buick assembly manuals look at the top center on page 0-4.2 Both year assembly manuals list "Color Name";
    Fisher - Ivory
    Buick - Pearl White
and underneath that Trim #'s 175-185

Ok, I know EVERYONE will be shocked!

    Duane is right. :Smarty:

That print is VERY small in my asm manual. Glad you told me where to look, because I knew I read it once before and could NOT figure out where.:TU:
