My cars id plate has a Z in front of the interior color Z136 I’ll add a photo as well. Not sure what this means if it even means anything, any one here have any thoughts??

Typically is means a non-recommended interior/exterior color combo but we've seen lots for no apparent reason - My '70 GS has "Z" & a black interior which was recommended w/any color.

    From a 1967 Camaro page:

Trim codes include "-Z" or "-Y" for bucket seats without and with headrests and "-H" or "-T" for bench seats without and with headrests.

And this is what they say on an Oldsmobile board: A mystery to this day. Nobody has figured it out

Well, I finally ran it to the guy that did some of the stamping of cowl tags at Fisher in Lansing.
He said we just followed the IBM card.
He had no knowledge of Z meaning!

It's been said on here that the "Z" could be for other things but there's little Fisher Body info.

I figured for the cars that shouldn't have it, the operator just forgot tonremove the "Z" for however many cars.

I'll have to check the '72 interior code cheat sheet and see what the OP's car came w/orig.

Looks to be saddle - notch back seat. Flame orange with white top.
