Pete, Mike Martz, the current OC of the Lions had the same issue 2 years ago. He was bed stricken for months and now you'd never know he was ill..... There is hope, and with your strong will I would suspect we will be seeing you around for a long time. Till then, my prayers stay with you. Donny
Pete, After weeks of wondering what was WRONG, at least NOW you know whats WRONG, and what the doctors say the fix is REST, I know you are pissed off and asking why me, I believe that everything happens for a reason but most of the time we NEVER know what the reason is, take it easy and rest that's WAY better than a DIRT NAP! All of our prayers will to be with you and your family.
We're all thinking and pulling for you, Peter. Have courage... at times like this you're measured by what you do next. Get well.
Pete, my uncle says to sit the F*** down, and relax for about 4-6 months. There is little YOU can do. Read that first sentence again, you'll be fine if you do. JH
Pete, Will continue to have prayers for you as well. My Dad has been going on 30% heart function for over 11 years now. His heart problems stem from diabetes. When they first checked him for shortness of breath they asked him how many heart attacks he had to which he said o No:, didn't have any that we knew of. Come to find out diabetics have silent heart attacks, i.e. they never feel or know they've had one :eek2: Take the advice and rest so that you're there for your family. Remember, "trust the heart of God and know we're always in His hands" Lon Lord of all creation holds our lives in His hands The God of all the nations holds our lives in His hands The Rock of our salvation holds our lives in His hands He cares for them just as He cares for you
Pete, Never met you yet, so do what they tell you and maybe some day you'll get to pick on a Ford lover. What Terry said and I'll add my prayers to the list. Frank
Pete, at least now you know whats going on.With your cholesterol low and valves pumping good.I bet you will recover; just fine.Taking it easy will be tough ,but you'll just have to do it.Hey, maybe you could write some tech article for musclecar Enthusiasts.take care Chris Teed
The option of doing nothing and sticking around for a while sounds better than being dead. Please do as your told- I know ALOT of stubburn farmers-and I could see you having a problem sitting still !! Just remember your doing it for your FAMILY too- not just you. Your still in our prayers and hope for the best.
Pete, I know that sitting still is not in your normal bag of tricks, but like has been stated, you have the opportunity to do it! I am sure that Steve Stadum would love to have a guest column from one of the big hitters in the PSMCDR arena. Maybe you could even share some of your cheater secrets!:moonu: Take care and I look forward to seeing you when you are better!
Hi Pete, I don't recall meeting you formally (but at my age doesn't mean I didn't) but I do recall watching you and your car and admiring the way your car FLYS and the way you are able to drive it! You are even more special since I read you are a farmer. I grew up on a farm but spent most of my adult life as a school teacher, coach and athletic director. Neat that you have so many friends that the farm will go on as usual so you can do what you are supposed to do and TAKE IT EASY! Take care of yourself and look forward to seeing you this September. Ted Harbit Stude Tomato PS George Krem with the Plain Brown Wrapper just spent a few days with me (he lives in Iowa and I'm in Indiana) and when I showed him the post, he wanted me to relay good wishes to you also.
there is alot to praying is't there. I am glad we are among the best group of people there is that can all appreciate the friend we have in you pete. Good luck and looking forward to see you this fall again. Ed
Hey Pete, I know its a long way from Louisianna to Canada, so if all our prayers haven't made it yet, rest assured, they are on the way. Glad to hear your condition can be treated. You have two fine sons, a wonderfull wife and a very large circle of friend. I'm sure their is no lack of support or help untill you recover. Hang in there, be patient and keep the faith. I look foward to seeing you and your family again. Your Cajun Friend Benoit Holloway
Well, had another chest x-ray this morning and am going for another electrocardiogram next Monday. Doc told me that if I was running a Mopar, it would likely be slow enough that he would let me race, but since it's a Chevy, he feels I better not race just yet! It would be just too quick!o No: I am going with my son to spectate the goings on! So you have not got rid of me just yet! Peter
So Pete, How tall is the corn right now?ou: You could probably tell me to the centimeter if you are able to walk the fields. At least he didn't include Olds in that slam!:moonu:
Pete: Last year my pants fell off me in the electrocardigram in the cardiac ward of a big hospital here. Went in with chest pains and they kept me overnight. I was wearing one of those hospital gowns and pants. Was a false alarm but everything like that is a warning. I yelled to the two technicians about the pants falling down and they didn't want to abort the test, they each grabbed a side and pulled them up wjile i completed the test. All three of us were howling with laughter..something you don't hear too much of in that ward. So, tighten your drawstring or wear suspenders next time. Hurry up and get well for the York reunion! :beers2:
