interchange from Rivera > to skylark?

    i'm about to swap out a 455 i got that's in a 73 riv. Can i also use the disk brake setup? calipers, master cylinder, coil springs etc? also will the motor mount frame pads bolt onto the 1971 skylark conv. i'm putting the 455 in? any interchange info would be great. thanks

    Brakes, no. Springs, no. Frame pads, not sure, but since I never heard anyone did it I say probably not.

    ok i'll admit it first im an idiot. i ment electra not riv. fingers really wanted to type riv. i guess. i guess parts still dont cross over though.

    Nope. none of the stuff will go from the electra into the Lark. You can weld the frame pads in if you want to.

    You can drill holes and bolt them in as well. I've done that with a '75 Skylark (Buick Nova) I had back in the day. It worked out better than I could have hoped. Put them on the motor, bolted up like it will sit and drop it into the car. Get it level and either tack it or do what I did, spray some white paint all around it for a template.
