Well The performance is not really going to change, but you will reduce the net weight by about 35#'s with aluminum. There are many other items you could buy that will improve performance over an aluminum intake, for the money, HEI comes to mind... Headers more HP, but cost more.... o No:
Save the intake money and put it towards porting and flowing the iron heads or better yet buying TA aluminum heads. As an alternative if you have not done so have the distrib recurved and the carb set up by a Q jet pro.
