    Richard,

I have a white one that is NOS, but I am looking for the original metal one. From what I have learned, metal ones were what came on the cars and the white plastic ones are replacement parts.

    Richard,

It sounds like they changed to the plastic one in 72 if that is what came on your car when new. Every 70 and 71 I have seen had the metal one, and the car I am working on is a very early 71 so I am trying to find a nice used metal one.

    Thanks.

Thanks Mark. No rush. If you do have one, take your time with a good tight fitting 1" wrench when you try to remove it. The base is brass and very soft, and they break or strip easily. A socket won't fit over the vacuum tree so an open end or crescent wrench is all you can use. Duane had a deep impact socket cut/machined just for these that he has let me borrow twice already. I may need it again. :Brow:

Yes. Another board member said he may have one but haven't heard back yet.

Post a pic if you can.

    Thanks.

Here you go. I didn't clean it. Doesn't look like any cracks. Based is not scared up. It was painted, and some paint peeling. Doesn't look like it has ever been out of the intake before now.

Thanks Mark. Do you want $ or try to trade a part? Let me know what you want either way.

    Thanks.

I'm looking for a posi carrier and front disc brakes. Got any of those sitting around? Not an even swap I realize.....

The only posi carrier I have is not going to do you any good as it is a 70, 8.2, 3.64, which no gears are available for. I wouldn't separate it from the ON housing either.

    No disc brakes either.

    Sorry. Anything else?
