If I remember correctly, there is a certain type of sealant you should use around the water jackets when installing an aluminum (B4B) intake manifold on a 455. Anyone know what type? I am installing a new cam and lifters in the GSX.

    Thanks in advance.

Brian, I have used permatex brand "Ultra Black" to seal around the water jackets, I have alum. heads and intake, I think as long as you use a good quality silicone sealer(specifically for automotive use) you will be fine.
If you are going to utilize the factory style windage tray be sure and use a small amount of silicone on both sides of the windage tray(metal) to ensure a positive seal on both sides, (water jacket area only)
