  2. In and effort to reduce the spam on the site, several years ago I had went to a program where I manually approve each and every new registration. This approval gives you full access to the site, to pictures, and to post, among other things. To be able to enjoy the full potential of the board for you, you need to be fully registered.. and that's easy.. Just send an email to me at jim@trishieldperformance.com and I will verify your registration. This policy will remain in effect indefinitely, as it has completely eliminated the bad actors from our site, who would spam and hack it, once they gained access. Thanks JW

Wetsounds looks like it would be a nice unit..

The sound is as good as your other components and yes you do not need a head unit, your BlueTooth source is the head unit. They started out with a small dial that mounted under the dash that allowed you to change songs and raise and lower the volume but you don't need that anymore because you can use your phone for those functions.
I have Wetsounds in my boat and they build some great products.

In my non AC convertible the stock kick panels look like this:

The lower flap is part of the panel.
I am going with panels from Reprosound. They do not have the lower ventflap and I am not going to seal off anything. This is a summer car and I will be happy to get some outside air into the car while driving. I even debate with myself if I am going to drill a nice holepattern into the new panel.

I will also replace the stock mono speaker in the dash with a dual cone. This is the stuff I am going to install:

I will also install the necessary wires so that eventually I can install a subwoofer unit with integrated amp either under the seat, or in the trunk (inside the spare tire).
