I have my hands on an open 12-bolt rear for my 66 LeMans, but it came out a 73 Buick Electra. It measures 57.75" backing plate to backing plate and 65.75" end to end (by my eyeballs).

The original rear is approx 55.5" backing plate to backing plate and maybe 63" end to end (again, by my eyeballs).

For me to gain back that extra 2-3", I would have to have 6-7" of back-space.

I jumped on the rear because of the rarity of them, now I'm sitting here and concidering the need to cut my loss and start over.

Rare or not, I'm in a holding pattern and want some advise.

There is some demamd for the big car rears.

The riviera guys would be very interested, i'm sure.

This rear fits 225's, LeSabre's, Riv's, mid 70's gm cars.
