ignition wiring on gbodydaves car

Do any of you guys know what color the wire is that runs to the ignition switch on the steering column? I am putting a remote starter cylinoid in the trunk and have it all figured out except the ignition wire? I was thinking it is the purple wire

The car is gbody daves 79 455 regal Almost have here fired up just a little bit more of electrical work and then VROOM VROOM

You're right, its the purple one. Had to cut mine for a security device.

could you post the link to the alternator wire diogram for the V8 &V6 cars need to know were the two wire that plug into the side of the Alt go to.

got the wireing all figured out but ran into a really bad problem.The starter was shimed wrong and when the engine fired the starter gear stayed ingaged and snaped the noise off of the starter.I have another mini starer so I am hoping tonight is it
