On a slightly related note: Yesterday's local newspaper reported that authorities are searching a local landfill for a body. Mafia hit? Nope. Seems a funeral home had stored the body in a cardboard casket in their garage, because the fridge was full. (It is winter in Michigan.) For who knows what reason, their trash collection service decided to take the box along with the dumpster. Ironically, the reason the body was set aside was because the deceased's family was taking an unusually long time (like 2 weeks) to decide whether the deceased wanted to be buried or cremated. Looks like the decision was made for them: buried -- along with yesterday's rotting vegetables.
....ashes to ashes, and dust to dust.......... Let's put another small business in the failure column due to lawyers and legalities. Granted they screwed up, but admitting it and being honest in this world of barracuda press and legal venus fly trap type "lawyers" ..........Sayonara, Mata ashita. Why work for a living? Just look for someone else to F*** up and sue them! Where's this all going to end?
My local story is getting better. Somebody call Jerry Springer: The deceased's children have asked the authoirities to stop looking for their dad. They don't mind that his eternal resting place is in the county dump. I guess I can't blame them, considering he must have been compacted by the truck then bulldozed in the landfill. Not sure I'd want to find the body. So the police have complied with the childrens' wishes and stopped looking. Meanwhile the deceased's out-of-state brother is livid and wants his brother found. To top it off, the state government's reigning bureaucracy of landfills is jumping into the fray, saying that a human body is not solid waste and is not allowed to be placed in a landfill, so they must find it. It's good to know the government is watching out for us. Such a hulabaloo. I guess you never know how much you're loved until after you're gone. This has inspired me. I want to live my life largely unnoticed, but have my obituary appear in "News of the Weird."
This is really inspiring. Look how long they've been looking for Hoffa in landfills........... What a state. :TU:
Wont find Hoffa in the land fill.....think he may be part of the K-Mart world headquarters??? Gonna be tearing it down this year..find him there..maby? Isnt it great that there is no more "leave well enough alone" any more in the world....very sad. Hell then we wouldnt need the media...and the trickle down effect....good god we might actually see people be able to make up their own mind again!!! WOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOO!! Sorry ...just a dreamer......i was born in the 50's....alot like me out there.
Answer: When the non-working "collectors" outnumber the working "contributors". This is essentially what happens, as a malignant virus kills it's host. Think AIDS
