For a 69 GS with buckets, I need the females that bolt to the tunnel next to the console and preferably the plastic covers that go over them too. If you have the shoulder belt too that's fine I will take it if it's nice. I have the retractable males I just have no females to make them happy. :)

    Ken,
If you can wait a few weeks, maybe longer, I'll have an excellent complete set in black. Deluxe buckles in excellent shape. The lap belt is deluxe but the larger of the two sizes as I changed buckles on the car a few years ago.
I currently have a very nice set of colour co-ordinated deluxe belts to go in the car. Trying to get a leak sealed in the front cover & them it's off for tranny fluid/filter.
Once that's done I'll have them out.

That's awesome Steve. Would it include the shoulder belts for the front?

I really want these. I'm eager to take the kids for a ride. :)

Please pm me a price and thanks for the response.

Shoulder belts included. Essentially the complete set for a bucket seat car.
I also have the extra lap set-up for middle passenger on a bench seat.
I'll send you a PM with pics & price once removed.

    Hey Steve,

Wondering if you'd had a chance to remove the seat belts yet. Or even if you have a ballpark price in mind for the set.

    Thanks,

    Ken

Seatbelts out this coming weekend. That's the plan for now unless my better half comes up with another list. Let you have them for $ 175 + shipping. I'll get some pics once out.
One of many delays to date:
She asks me to "help" her paint the room. I say "sure" because I know she has trouble cutting the edges. She goes out buys the paint, puts it in the room & she's done. Guess who does the rest?
Man.........going on 25 years of this abuse!

    LOL

Cry me a river! Then it's like "no honey, go ahead and work on the car I don't mind"....but you KNOW she doesn't mean it, so you do the right thing and put up the screen room on the back deck so we can be protected from Maine's state bird all summer (mosquitoes).

You'll be ok as long as you remember these two very crucial unwritten laws.

    1. No means yes

    2. Yes means no

After that, everything else pretty much takes care of itself. :puzzled:

    I know , I know ....I know!
We dated for 6 years beginning in high-school. Should have seen the signals, read between the lines a bit more. Once married....that's when the abuse started.
She works in the yard & gets me to help her occasionally. She really enjoys it & thinks I should too. I play in the dirt & mud at work most days, don't want to do it at home.
I should try to get her help me change a pair of rear springs, nice easy job.
    Think she'll last?

    Ken,
Changed out the belts, just finished.
These are a set of standard belts for which I've installed deluxe buckles a few years ago. Aside from cleaning, which is a simple job, I can send you the "recipe".
I noticed two minor issues once they were removed.
1- one of the rear lap belts with female buckle had some heat applied at one time & the strap is damaged where it bolts to the car. I wouldn't trust this belt. I don't have spares the same length but I have a spare about 6" longer.
I can send it as is or I can change out the buckle before I send it.
I may also be able to beg, borrow or steal one belt from another member here to complete the set.
2- one shoulder belt trim fitting is incomplete where it bolts to the ceiling. It's been like that since I've had the car & haven't noticed. The back piece is not there. I can try to get one or do you have any you can use.
3 pics attached of the belts. Also 1 of the finished conversion in my own car. Went from standard interior & belts to Skylark Custom/GS interior with deluxe belts.

Of course my first choice would be for you to beg borrow or steal from someone else. :) But, which one was it? The center or one of the outside ones? I have a couple old rear ones maybe I could use but one of my rear ones was slopped with POR-15 by some mo-mo with a happy brush. (not me)

I'm not sure about the trim piece you are talking about. I may or may not have this trim piece. If you can find the piece somewhere along your travels that would be great, but I wouldn't let it hold up the sale.

Your interior looks great. So what is the difference between deluxe and standard belts? The buckles on the ones you're going to sell me and the ones in your car now look the same.

Quick question: My understanding of the front shoulder belts is minimal. How do they hook up? I know theres a lap belt and a shoulder belt. Do the latch into the same female or is there two different females, one for the lap hookup and one for the shoulder hookup?

Also, those plastic pieces (sleeves of some sort) in one of your pics, are they the ones that would cover the mounts where I would mount the females latches at the inside, at each side of the console for the two front buckets?

Thanks and sorry for all the questions. PM me with all the answers and shipping to 04612 if you don't wanna answer here.

    Thanks,

    Ken

    Ken,
The rear centre female lap belt is the one damaged. I can easily replace it with another about 6" longer. You may see a little more excess strap once the buckle is adjusted to the user. The paint on yours won't be visible if it's close to where the belt bolts to the floor, the rear bench bottom covers a portion of it.

Trim piece goes over the end of the shoulder belt where it attaches to the ceiling. The exposed piece is there, the back is not. If you have any shoulder belts at all, these are plainly visible.

Standard belts will be with black painted/laquered buckles & a blue GM logo in the middle. Belts all black & manually adjusted front lap belts.
Deluxe belts were colour matched to the car interior. Silver buckles & the front lap belts had the small style buckles & a self adjusting retractor.

Lap & shoulder belts each have a separate buckle. The plastic sleeves are those that cover the bolted connections on the trans. hump. Note: on my new deluxe set, even this piece is colour matched to the interior.

    I see,

That's ok about the shoulder belt trim. As long as I can mount it that's fine.

So the front will really have 4 females, two each side, one for lap and one for shoulder per side?

So these all have the silver buckles right? (I guess that makes them standard?) I think my car originally came with the deluxe painted black buckles, but for some reason I actually like the brushed silver look too.

    Ken,
The front set-up will have 4 male & 4 female ends.
    Standard buckles were black.
The silver/brushed silver are from a deluxe set-up. I bought a few part sets a few years ago & made the swap.
If you have some time before you need them I can clean them here. Night/day difference in the fabric straps once cleaned.

Sure, what are you talking, a couple weeks maybe?

Two weeks outside. I soak them in a small tub with soapy water & a splash of Spray Nine. Take them out one at a time, scrub with a hand brush & then remove all the water & dirt with a shop vac. Air dry in the shop, make a huge difference.
    I'll start today/tomorrow.

    Ken,
Public holiday here yesterday, got your seat-belts done. I was able to replace the damaged rear lap belt with another, 4" longer. I replaced all three as I had 3 good spares & will all be the same. I'll send you the bad one only so you can see why I rejected it.
Only piece I don't have is the shoulder belt ceiling trim piece in black. I have the front of one but rear not there.
Send me a PM with shipping info. & I'll get them boxed up.
