Have you thought about making a gasket from a bicycle tube or something like that? I do have a dipstick for a nailhead but are they all the same? Also not sure about the condition of the gasket on it, guess if it was OK I could just send you the gasket?? Dave Berry o No:
The problem is that what I called a gasket is actually a molded rubber seal that is part of the dipstick. (see photo) It fits into the block, Nailheads don't have a tube, so these are prone to leaking. The metal stick is "crimped" at both ends of the seal, so even if I had a new seal it would be impossible to slip it up the stick and past the crimped spot. I tried a piece of rubber hose that was nearly impossible to slip on but it leaks too. The only solution is to get a new dipstick. Mine is stamped #1356562......What year motor is yours from? o No:
