i have a 65 skylark w/ a 300 4bbl, no a/c. the issue is that at real low rpms my alternator isn't spinning fast enough to charge my battery with all electrical stuff on. if i just rev the motor up to 1000 - 1200 rpm's it livens up. i just had it checked out by a local rebuilder and he gave me a virgin armature that would close the air gap better but not good. i think a 300 with a/c has a larger pulley. if anyone has one to sell i need it. also if a 350 one will fit let me know. shoot me a pm if you have one. thanks.
