I've done a few T-10s and A 833s, but never did a muncie. Although I have the general idea, I'd like a guide, but cant find nothing but videos on the net. Anyone got a good link or something? Thanks!

An Ebay seller has a book and/or video and can supply parts as well just search Muncie, that's how I found him

if you have experiance with other manual transmissions, the muncie is fairly easy.a factory chassis manual will give you the
info you need.i've done a few.just make sure all the gasket sufaces are flat (i use a fine file) because the gaskets used are
thin.check around on the parts kits, some are better quality than others.i've bought parts from Bob at this site.quality was
good & he seems to know his stuff.

Don't sweat it too much, beyond what has been noted. Grease on the cluster gear needle bearings so they don't fall off during assembly, common stuff. You can't even put any of the parts in wrong! They only go in one way. I learned that in 1976. Remember, these also got assembled on an assembly line at break-neck speed, and the engineers had to figure out how to keep the assemblers (and, thus, GM) out of trouble. Feeler gauges to look for wear, as it is now an ancient relic.
