BEHOLD LOL One of the olds parts cars had the variable ratio power steering gear box. Once and for all I will know what the guts are and what the difference is. I plan on taking it to my rebuilder and watch him take it apart and see if there are any differences in them at all. I will make a video and post it for all to see. I knew I would find one one day I guess They might have been more common in oldsmobile cutlass cars than the Buicks or monte carlos. Hector

It's diameter determnes the amount of power assist and thus, most importantly, road feel. JIML82's paper shows the different boxes, with various T-bars and the amounts of effort
