Is there a "formula" that you can use to determine this?

I hear that you can tell a ballpark HP by looking at the MPH in your quarter mile.

    Thanks!

It seemed to lowball everything I put into it. Didn't seem too accurate. But I'll keep shoveling money into the car!

Adam, use HP at flywheel vs rear wheels and you should be close.

I'm unsure of either of those ratings...

It told me that my 5000lb car at 89 mph has 270 HP...

Is this Flywheel or Rear wheel?

Flywheel I think (it does not say), which should be somewhere around 210-215 HP at the wheels. I also think thesw calculations are low...

I plugged Phil's #'s in, he said he had 375 at the wheels and ran 11.99 at 111 and change. I went to the "calculate HP from ET and weight"(this one says at the wheels), this resulted in 469, this is high as Phil said he had 375 the wheels. 375 HP times 1.25 to get flywheel = 469.

There are a lot of "calculators" out there, they are not created equal.

Adam: I plugged in #'s using ET/Weight (1109)then MPH/Weight (1209). The answers were 100 HP different. I used a different calculator and came up with 1219. They are close enough for government work. Best deal is the dyno. Take a lazy drive down to Humble, Texas. Visit Lawrence Conley's new dyno. He'd enjoy some Buick visitors. Good luck.
