    Hi guys and gals,

I'm reupholstering the bucket seats of my '65 skylark with a kit i bought from PUI Interiors.
I never done it and I watched this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3fVIXvIlOMY to learn about it.

I just finished the bottom seat and overall it went very well but there's a spot i don't know how to fix.
There's a gap on both corners of the sides and it shows what's underneath. I could just fix it with a hog ring but it's not great to see. I tightened everything i was supposed to i think.

I'll add some pics to show you what I mean.

    Did you use new foam?

no, I reckoned the old foam was still in good condition and since I didn't buy the shaped one I didn't want to venture into making it my self.
Someone else told me it's often the case with these aftermarket covers that there's this gap and suggested to place some black vinyl under it or just close it with a hog ring.

to be fair, I'm not sure how visible it will be once the back rest is in place and the chromed arms will pass over it. Still I'ld like to make the job right while i'm doing it.

Looks to me like its too tight. You should not see the seams pulling apart like that.
