    Hello,

I have a 1972 GS 350 ( which was converted to a 455 stage one) That I purchased from Florida, and I live in Wisconsin, I have no documentation on the car. I am trying to find out where the
car was assembled? what dealership in what state it was shipped to?(if possible). What were the original colors of the exterior/interior/ Did have a vinyl roof?

Can someone please tell me how to research or actually de-code this information I'd appreciate it

    Thanks Chris

Your car is a 72, so your in luck. Contact the Sloan Museum and Research center. They can provide you with the invoice information and what dealership the car was shipped to.

I used to know of a way to decode the cowl tag but I forgot what site listed the information. To find out everything but what dealer your car was purchased from you can post a picture of the cowl tag or just list the numbers and letters on it. I am sure a member here has access to information to decode it.
