    I've got a '68 GS350 that's unmodified with 14" rallies. It's time for new tires and I'm curious how much tire I can put under this car as-is? 245 60 14?:Do No:

I have 275 60 15's on my 15x7's and it fits the rears just fine...the largets I went in the front was 235 60 15's on 15x7's as well. Steers perfect and the ride is alright....just a little mushy around corners, but then again who races around corners :Brow: . Just a little joke to brighten up the day...i think your combo should fit just fine....look at the BFG site and get the exact sizing and measure it up on your car....just my $0.02.

70's skylarks have lots more room than we do
most I ran on our 69's with stock rims was 245x60
    14 or 15's fit nice
wanta race 5" backspacing and you can get a 29.5x9x15
under with alittle rubbing on inside of tire

Out back on my '70, I have 275-60-15 BFG TA's on 15x8 Weld Draglights.
I have tons of room with the freshly rebuilt rear suspension and the wheel well is filled up nicely. Soon I am going to try to squeeze more tire in there. I have been thinking of 15x10 with 5" offset rolling the lips slightly and using the 315-50-15 Drag Radial.
I think it might work, but any ideas or suggestions definently appreciated before I dump money on junk that don't fit!

I used to have 15x10 weld drag stars on a 79 Trans Am with 315 50 15's on it...BEWARE they would not fit under the wheel well (the Trans Am's have bigger wheel wells then the Buicks do). Be wize and measure them up carefully before you purchace this setup....make sure your backspacing is correct for the rim as well. Mine wasnt, had 2 spacers on it....I didnt buy this combo, it was on the car already when I bought it....I now have 275 60 15's with 15X8 rims and I'm perfectly happy with the results.

    Just my $0.02

Sounds 245x60x14 may be right on the money. Thanks everyone! :TU:

I have the '69 Sport Wagon in the avatar you see to the left. I don't know if the wheel well area of the wagons is the same as the car even though the sheetmetal contours are the same, but I would bet it's closer than a '70 to what you have. I gotta tell you, I put 275/60/15's on it with a little room to spare. Everything cleared fine with no need to lift the rear. Anything less looks dinky on this beast.
