Well this guy that thought wreckless driving was a good idea in front of a buick should have thought twice! :af:

Ok, so as I just got my car back a week from tommorow from getting the tranny rebuilt, new fuel lines, etc., im feeling pretty good right about now beins that the car seems to have a lot more power than it did before! :Brow: Now, my car is nothing to sneeze at, that's for sure, but it never ceases to amaze me sometimes. Anyways, right after school I took the buick for a spin w/ my grandpa in the passenger seat and just for a fun little cruise. I get about halfway done w/ my cruise, and this guy in a late model camaro v6 pulled up next to me at a stop sign, and it had dual exhaust and to my surprise a manual shift, I could hear him shift through the gears before we got to the stop sign, and from the sound of the car I could tell it was a 6 banger. Anywho, I took off normal from the stop sign, and mr. badboyjones in his hipty hop speedy camaro took off like a bat coming out of heck, and then right away pulled in front of me and started intensionally swerving back and forth in front of me. Now, after running short on fuses in my fuse box in my head of having a nice friday and this guy basically is trying to ruin it. So, I say im not going to let that happen, so to make a good friday stay good, and since I had about 2 miles of straight road w/out a stopsign, I go from 30 MPH to 20 MPH to the cars sweet spot, then the camaro slows down as well(what a smart***), and then I floor it and the car quickly down shifts and before long im in front of him at about 45 MPH and let off and the car shifts and then gas it and get up to about 60 MPH and get in front of him and don't let him pass untill he gives up at the next stop and turns off, and to salute him I did a peel out in L1 to show some patronage. :) Man that felt so good, it made a good friday even better. Sorry for the length, but I just had to share it. I thought for sure that camaro would blow my doors off but I guess he must've got some dirt in his injectors and maybe they weren't operating properly? Good excuse eh. Anyways, it is something I will never forget, as this was a very memorable moment for me. Im sooooooo glad to have my buick back!!!! :Brow:

    Pretty cool kill Cody. :TU:
What's up with those Camaro boys anyway :Do No:

I was leaving work earlier this aft, driving the vert, minding my own business, just wanting to get home and relax. It's a left turn from work, and Mr. Slomaro followed me out onto the street. I went into the left lane, he into the right, so as to pass on the "sui"cide. What a doink, that's not the correct way to pass someone, soooooo right foot, meet Mr. floorboard.

Now my little Wildcat 310 is no rocket ship, but the ST300 switch pitch slush box works great. :Brow: As the dual Flowmasters barked out there victory tunes, Mr. Z28 stayed right where he belonged, in my rear view mirror. :pp :moonu:

Thanks, and pretty nice kill you have as well. It's amazing to me how a tranny can really give a car some power. I never have been able to get the tranny to kickdown nicely before but now that it's rebuilt, it kicks down with no problem, and if it wasn't for that kickdown gear I have, my car would have been toast. :)

You know, I probably should have said that it was one of those 305 4bbl Slomaros, not the 350 version. :spank: Oh well, a kill is a kill, is a kill, is a kill.

And a good shifting trans is worth it's weight in silver. :Brow:
Nice to hear you've your giddy up back Cody. :TU:

    Thanks Rob,

And you're right on that Tom, a kill is indeed a kill. Before now, I always underestimated my cars potential w/ the motor it has but now that I know what a good tranny can do for a car, I now know it has decent power, although I don't think there is a such thing as too much power, I can't wait for a 350 SBB... :Brow: :bglasses: :TU:

Nice Cody! way to put that guy in his place. Now you got me thinking that i need to get my '78 Lark street worthy to taste some of that myself. i'd love to fry some of these little rice burners running around town.

Thanks Truzi and Burt! :TU: You know, i've been thinking...it has been quite a while since I posted a kill, of course I had quite a few in the between time since last I posted, but this kill will definetly be a memorable one for me. Once again, thanks! :beer :TU:

Nice Kill Cody :TU: Next time stay in the gas and let the tranny do the shiftin - it should hike your butt up the seat alittle when it shifts - thats called Torque Multiplication

BTW - my Father-in-law drives a '96 Cammo with the V6 and manual 5-speed (that my brother-in-law gave him). Lowwww mileage car but its Barney Purple

....He keeps asking me what I think it'll be worth in a few years as its a Cammo with low miles (Ohhhh....Ahhhhh !!!) He has grande dreams of tucking it away in the garage and pulling it out to make Mega-Bucks. I keep telling him its NOT a collector car as Hundreds of THOUSANDS were made and the V6 is NOT :spank: :Dou: the desireable engine.

:Do No: Some people just dont listen

Thanks Alan, and I will take your advice and stay in the gas next time. :TU: My grandpa has a 2003 mustang w/ the pony package/v6 and manual 5 speed, and its pretty fast to be honest, it would probably eat the camaro up that I raced against, but of course the mustang is not stock either. The old oddfire v6 in my car is bone-stock and it definetly is nothing to brag about, but that good shifting tranny is what makes the car a lot faster than it was beins that it never had a good kickdown gear 'till now. :Brow: :TU:
