How has your day been?

  1. Got off to a pretty rough start today. My Black Lab started it off at 4:30 a.m. by barfing on the floor by the bed. At 7:15 a.m. my 5yr old daughter followed suit by barfing all over her bed. She tossed about 12 times (she counted) but is finally now starting to feel a little better, and drink some chicken noodle soup broth.

We were thinking about replacing her old bed anyway, so almost $300 later she now has a new bed in her room. Deduct that from the car fund... :(

To top it all off, it's about 70deg today, calm winds, clear skies, but I found no time to take the car out for a drive. :ball: Oh well, tomorrow sounds like another nice day coming, maybe I can venture out then.

I woke up still drunk from last night by some chick that called me at 9AM trying to sell a credit card to college students. Doesn't her company realize that college students party friday nights and sleep all morning Saturday morning? ack. So I get back into bed and at 930, my Mom calls. grr... So I'm up for the day and get some food. Start feeling better, then realize how much of a pig-mess my room is, so I did some serious cleaning 'cause it was driving me nutz. Now there isn't anything going on tonight, and I think I'm gonna stay dry anyway because the thought of liquor makes me want to upchuck. For the most part, though, it was a decent day. Now the cubs are losing. :(

I had a few:beer last night....no problems this morning though. I was waken up this morning by a friend of mine. She said she was partying in front of my house! :puzzled: :puzzled: :puzzled:

Homecoming parade this morning for my high school going by....so I throw som pants on and watch it go by.

Later on, went to a BCA fall picnic and had a great time hanging out and talking Buicks!

Now I'm doing laundry before I go out and drink some more:beer

I feel like I never go out anymore....I kinda wish I would have stayed in school after I graduated. Thats the main thing I miss about school...so many people to hang out with. Being back home is kind of a buzzkill.

TOmorrow is the 2nd biggest car show if the year - Oktoberfest! The convertible will be attending:bglasses:

I will say this....If the Yankees do mess up those Twins will be right there to make them pay.Overall, the game was a good one and I wish I didn't fall asleep in the end.The twins played pretty good ball and impressed me.If they do go past the Yanks I will definitely root for them.

David - Sorry to hear everyone's puking!! Not the most pleasant thing to deal with.:gt:

Afraid the Yanks didn't do anything to brighten your mood either.:Brow:

[I didn't realize Torii Hunter was 0-for-his-career against Roger Clemens!!] :eek2:

Clemens pitched 7 solid innings along with 2 more 'lights out' innings from Mariano Rivera.

Well....other than the Twins/Yankees game tomorrow, I hope everything picks up for you!!

Decided yesterday to make a family trip to Carlisle for the car show/swap meet for today. My wife (pro doggie groomer) had two dogs to groom this morning at 7:30 so we figured that she would be done by 10. Well to begin with she wasn't enthusiastic about going but I wanted her to get a taste of what we all enjoy. It was about 11:30 with misty skies till we all piled in and got rolling. Things were looking up when we found a freebie parking space 3 blocks away which saved me 10 bucks. Got in the gate and I was like a kid in a candy store, the baby was happy but the wife looked gloomy. The threaten skies produced the rain and the wife got really gloomy. I was looking for some items (factory tach, center cap for a 14" Buick rally, air clean sticker, and what every else I could find...). Long story short, it sure could've been a better day. After the rain was just about over I gave up and decided it was time to come home. I ended up finding some over priced items and came home with my sticker, gasket kit for the Muncie, a clear distributor cap, and some header bolts. The wife is happy again but I think if I go down in the spring, I'll leave her home. I know down the road I am going to pay for this...

    Honey do.

    Same here.
I wish I had never shown her how to use the on screen post-it note (stickies) feature on this computer.
    Now I can't claim I didn't see it. :Dou:

At least the weekend chores are out of the way now, and I can work on painting the Riv's fender skirts. Which I had planned on doing today.

Waited for the plumber to fix our sink... only to find out, we need to dig out an area under the house, so we can cut a section of pipe.

(Our house has no crawl space.)
