Hotwheels Buick Grand National

Was just checking out the 2007 new Hotwheels list and lo and behold #10 for 2007 is listed as 'Buick Grand National". I'll be keeping my eye out for this one... Now if we could just get them to do a some GS models other than the one GSX they did in the box set a few years ago....

In 15+ years of looking at the hotwheels racks, I've seen *one* treasure hunt car and I didn't buy it. :spank:

 

Excuse me for asking, what is a "treasure hunt car"?

 

There are usually 10 "Treasure Hunt" cars per years series. They are sort of a special limited edition for that year and there is usually only one per case of cars.

They almost never hit the actual store rack because anyone in the know that works there will pull them off and sell them on ebay for $15 - $20 each.

I have never found one on the rack but I have a complete set for 2001 and only need a couple of more for a 2003 set. I collected the entire year of Hot Wheels for each of my sons birth years and I have them put away to give to them later in life. Maybe they will be worth something then o No:

I was on their site today & noticed they are putting out a 70 GS in Feb 2007 (Musclecars 12) and another one in April 2007 (Musclecars 1970).

I was at Target last week and picked up 2 GSX's - a black one & a white one.

It's a habit now... everytime we are someplace that has toy cars I go flipping thru them all and when I am lucky enought to find a Buick or 2 they end up going home with me. :laugh:

I started on one and messed up. I bought all the parts to try another. Maybe over winter...............
