I have the Holley Sniper EFI on my 350 and problems with a slow start. but i read about it in the holley forum -> main and secondary opens at the same time. Now there is a firmware update and a rod: "Holley 4010 & 4150 Mechanical Secondary Linkage Rod" I have ordered this rod, but it is still traveling in USA so i tryed to build it self with 4 mm copper rod ( little more than 1/8" ) the first one was to long, the second to short, the third was good the third on the picture was the original rod here is the new rod in place now i come out the garage without barking tires
Nice work! About to finish up my Holley Sniper on my 70 GS. Is an external throttle return spring needed on the Sniper? Thanks.
no there is no external throttle spring Maybe you have also the loud hiss and need a thick gasket or spacer: https://forums.holley.com/showthread.php?20273-Sniper-loud-whistle-hiss-normal
Not finding a great spot to mount the spring.. I'll keep looking. Had the Holley Sniper out for it's first 10 miles just now. What a difference in throttle response, zero detonation, AFR looking good. Really feels like a different animal. Now to drive it and let it learn.
My Holley Terminator came with a throttle cable bracket that had two small holes drilled in it for the throttle return spring(s). Does the Sniper not come with the throttle cable bracket?
There are holes for either 200 4R or 700 R4 kickdown but not finding anything with the correct geometry. The smaller holes won't take the bend in the end of the spring. Will get into it and figure it out.
after reading about the recommend external throttle return spring i have found out my old spring fits this way
