I am looking for a high perforance mechanical fuel pump for a 455. Mr. GAsket makes one that flows 8 GPH (?) but is good for only up to 400 horsepower. My motor has a cam, TA shorty headers and a performer..hope to heck it will make over 400HP. Don't want an electric pump as they drive me crazy. This is almost strictly a street car and I like quiet! Any suggestions or is 8 as high as mechanical pumps flow?
    Thanks, TEd

I too would love to have a mechanical fuel pump that could support 525+ hp (aluminum heads). Is there any way we can modify a fuel pump off of a different brand?

I don't want to run an electric pump either, but it kinda looks like I may have to.

Brett...maybe someone will come up with a pump for us. Electric pumps work super..Have one on my race car but, again, don't like the noise on the street! Ted

weird - thought I posted this....

What does the GS Stage 1 pump flow?

I have seen people run the electric with a mechanical, flip a switch to turn on the electric as needed.....ready set - go!
