Has anyone tried the Hoosier Pro Street D.O.T. tires?

Assuming you mean the Quick Time Pro's...

They are along the lines of the MT ET Streets.
They'll run about the same as slicks on most cars and the Hoosiers seem to fill some of the size gaps in whicl the MT's aren't available and vice/versa.
I don't believe one is better than the other so choose for your size preference.

Be careful any time you buy a street slick or drag slick to check the build date on the tire and to make sure the label is in good condition. A dried cracked lable will show improper storage even if the build date is recent. The Special compound the tires are made out of will dry out and the tire will loss its "soft" qualities causing it to loose some of its "bite". The build date on M/T tire is in a recessed oval close to the bead. There will be several numbers and letters in the "oval" but the last 4 numbers are the week and year. My tire has "CY1J5LY4002" which means it was made on the 40th week in 2002.
Also "W" tires and Street slicks tend to come with a stiff side wall about 2.5 inched out from the bead which make them a little stiffer. Stiff is good on the Buicks because of there heavy weight and generally loose suspension you don't generally need the tire to absorb shock out of a launch as a dragster or stiff suspension car drag car.
    Just for your info.:TU:

M&H Racemaster now makes a DOT called Muscle Car Drag. They have a lot of sizes and really fill in the gaps that other manufacturers have.

They have more tread than an ET Street, but not as much as a DragRadial. Worth a look.

Here's the link to their website. You then have to call Interco and find the nearest dealer:

    Good luck.

    Hard launches

My retaining clip for the brake light switch I guess couldn't take the strain from the hard launches because I have to push the switch back in after most of my runs. Trust me, I'm no where near them brakes, my foots on the gas DEAD ON THE FLOOR BOARD! :stmad: :stmad: :stmad:
