Hello everyone, I just posted my first post looking for help on my 1973 455. My name is Dana Bennett, I am 34 and have been driving tractor trailer since I was 19, only local/western NY, I never really thought I would like being an over the road driver because even though theres a LOT more money what good is it when you don't get the time to spend with family and friends?? Thats WAY more important than money I have always thought!!! I have been "nuts" ( to put it mildly) over cars and trucks ever since I was little kid, I still collect toys!! My first car was my Dads 1972 Chevy Kingswood stationwagon that we had since it was new, I got it in 1986 after I graduated highschool (NO car until you graduate!!) That started my trend for big cars!! I have owned about 15 or so cars and still have 9 of them. I belong to 2 national clubs. "The American Station Wagon Owners Association" (ASWOA, also check out stationwagon.com) and "The Professional Car Society" (PCS, check out http://www.professionalcar.org) I love wagons (ALL 1971 to 1976 GM clam-shells mostly) and pro-cars (hearses, ambulance's. flowercars) The cars I own right now are 1.) 1972 Oldsmobile Cotner-Bevington limo style hearse-parts car, MAYBE future restoration project!!!! 2.) 1972 Buick LeSabre 4drH/T- former daily driver 3.) 1973 Buick LeSabre 4drH/T- mighty nice car need to fix!!! 4.) 1975 Buick Century wagon on a 4x4 frame-cool project car, bought 10 years ago, still have not had time to work on!! 5.) 1976 Buick Estate Wagon-RARE!!! Built for Superior by Armbruster/Stageway, Precision Crown end load hearse, one of 35 ever built!!! has 1 foot extention between rear doors and rear wheel, will get restored someday!!!! 6.) 1976 Cadillac Superior Sovereign Regal end load hearse, VERY nice coach from Alabama, still needs some work before attending this years International PCS meet in Pittsburg July 22-26? 7.) 1976 Oldsmobile 98 4drH/T- former former daily driver (since selling my 1973 Caprice Estate wagon to a derby driver I will no longer ever sell one of MY cars!!! derbys are fun to watch but I REALLY hate all those old cars going to waste!! MOST of them are VERY restorable!!! ) 8.) 1979 Pontiac Trans Am- ok, so I strayed a bit about 10 years ago!!! and 9.) 1999 Ford Taurus wagon-current daily driver, sure gets better mileage than my 1972 Buick!! I comute about 50 miles each way!!! Ok, I think thats enough for now!!! it's late and I (as you will know if you read any of my posts) can really tend to prattle on way too long sometimes!! Sorry!!! Dana Bennett.

    Dana! Welcome to the board!

That's quite a collection of big cars you have:beer I think you'll find that the folks on this board are a load of fun to talk to and exchange information with. LOTS of information and parts being transferred here every day.

You picked the right place to hang out:grin:

I just joined after you did Dana but howdy anyway...

I wanted to let you know that my first car was My families 74 Pontiac Grand Safari with the BIG V8 :)

Had a power bench seat that would recline all the way back to all most flat!

Not to mention the huge back end!

My Mother had me follow her to the juck yard in it an dshe gave it to them for what the tires were worth just because the valves were clicking....

Had alot to do with why I moved out on my own ;)
