    Hi there,
I recently purchased a 1973 Buick Riviera Boattail Stage 1 , so right now I am looking for some good part sources.
The catch I am from Germany so International delivery would be great.

Right now I am looking for the Seat upholstry as well as most of all the rubberware, so which traders are good, which are not really reliable (international shipping is a bitch for returns.

    Thank you
    Hariwald:beers2:

www.smsautofabrics.com for the original stuff off the factory rolls. SMS bought up a lot of the rolls of the original material made by Collins and Aikman, here, in N.C.

The door seals are made here in North Carolina:

X2 for SMS auto fabrics, they are great to work with and have good products.

Some impressions from my project. Thank you so far guys.
Oh as for original color codes where would i find them on the car if there were any?

I have done a Camaro 69 before, but Buick stuff is somewhat harder to find.

Let us call it a challange:rolleyes:

    Thanks

I am not a fan of OPGI.

Only three companies make old Buick rubber:

    Metro
    SoftSeal
    Steele Rubber.

All others are Resellers. OPGI is a re-seller focusing on many auto lines.

Welcome from Canada's Capital - check out the Riviera Owners Association (ROA), from the link in my signature.
Also a very good source for parts for your '73 Boattail - some NOS, and used.

Ok Thank you guys for "saving me" from OPGI I knew that there might be a catch since there rubber parts are a bit cheaper.

Thanks Rivman nice to have a fellow Canadian ( yes i am German and Canadian deal with it), I am still thinking about the Club.
Any more good advise in general or part source wise?

So long now the week begins and i need to work for my parts.

Have a good rest Sunday and a great week.:TU:

ps although 200 bucks is not really a bit....

Tell us the parts you need and we can help you with a source. For Buicks there is no one place to shop.

    Also try www.buickpartsdirectory.com

Sourcing Riviera parts is definitely a challenge, as you stated Hariwald.
It's all part of the restoration 'game' fun - spending hours on the internet, and beating the bushes to score those hard-to-find parts you need !!
Some parts are easier to track down than others, and some are 'unobtanium', some you can get at bargain prices, and for others you'll need a second mortgage to purchase them.
Web sites and forums, like v8buick, ROA, 'evilBay', and a few others are probably the best way to let your fingers do the walking.
There are some very knowledgeable Buick types here who are willing to help you out, or steer you in the right direction. :beer :TU:

So not that I am cheap I just wonder if the OPGI parts are really 200 Buck worse than SteeleRubber and that is before shipping ?

Also back to where might I find the markers for which was the original paint and interior settings any Ideas?
And is there an other GM Car which had that style and kind of seats inside , or do i best start rebuilding them from scratch.

    THanks Hariwald:cool:
