Just thought I'd say Hi from across the pond! Enjoying piloting my '69 Rivvy around the back lanes of England - it doesn't fit on the roads and its ferociously expensive on petrol(gas), but hey, who cares! If any of you guys find yourselves over here look me up and I'll introduce you to some real beer ;)
    :beer
Anyone else on this board posting from the UK??

  2. Welcome to V8Buick, Dave! Glad to have ya here! I think we had a member from England posting several months back, but not for some time. I don't recall his user name though. If you have a pic of your Riv, feel free to post it so we can all enjoy the view! I can reduce the size if you wanted to use it for your avatar pic below your user name.

    cheers guys!
heres a pik of my car as taken by the previous owner:

Shes been in the UK from new and was possibly shown at the Earls court motor show in London in '69 - don't know for sure, will have to research that one. I have a list of all the previous owners and am pretty sure the 46,000 miles on the clock are genuine. more remarkable is the state of the car (given that it has spent its life over here..) - absolutely solid underneath - just a bit of rot around the front and rear screens. The previous owner restored the car a few years ago and the paint etc is still pretty good. Have just finished rebuilding the motor after no.7 main brg got eaten (on the way home from buying the car..), main probs now are blower motor not working and a very damp boot (you could keep fish in the spare wheel well...). Should keep me busy at weekends!!
