A good friend of mine has a 1964 Galaxie 500XL 390 4 bbl 4 speed. It's the usuall baby blue color with a set of Magnum rims. It's a nice driver. Not a show piece, But it's something that could be driven away and enjoyed how it is. I guess I would rate it a real stong #3. What the heck are these things worth?
Mike: NADA has a special section for collector cars now, you may be able to access that and get the info you need. I got there through Hagerty Insurance website.
What does NADA say Mike? I'm curious because it sounds to me like $4500 to $6500. Those cars don't bring much money unless they are a P (390hp), Q (427 410) R (427 425) code or convertable. The 4 speed does make it better though. I picked up three of those cars for $500 to get parts and part out. I got them from a guy who though for a while he had gotten a gold mine.
