Got a friend (no, it's not my stuff) that's been cleaning out some of his old drag race / performance related items. He just put a copy of HERE'S LINDA !! on the bay. He's also going to put on a bunch of HOT ROD ANNUALS and a Holley Carburetor ID and Parts Breakdown Catalog and NHRA Programs in the next few days and week or so. Just thought you might want to take a look at his stuff.
Come on Dave, remember, I brought my copy to Stanton 2 years ago. I had to keep the plastic cover on it so that you would not drool over the pages! :moonu: And don't tell me that you look like you do now back in '71!
Should have seen her in person in 1966. Unbelievable. My first time was as a guest of Hurst (Dave Landreth) at Motor City Dragway in July, 1966 to watch the Hurst Hairy run. Jungle Jim and (what I think was) Jungle Pam with him- or a really good facsimile of them was also there that night. Unbelievable times. You could have made a movie of one of those nights.
I can only imagine the gurdle she wears now to keep those headlights up. Full wire frame! I'd take jungle pam over her any day.
She looks a lot like Dolly Parton now, and Dave, is it me, or is Hillary bringing peaches for lunch? :eek2:
I was thinking something along those lines but, was worried about the "wording" for a post. Nice job. ou:
This is still my favorite picture of Linda Vaughn along with Poncho Rendon, top fuel draster and funny car owner from Detroit. I used to see Poncho at David Cranes' "old fart racers reunion" most every Memorial Day weekend. Won't see him this year as he passed away last September. I can almost see the thoughts going through Ponchos' mind !! :Brow: :Brow: R.I.P. Poncho.
