    Go Buick Go Woot!

ok, I have a 70 LeSabre (two really) and when I rev the engine at high rpm's, it backfires out of the carb. I know that a common cause of this is the points and condenser, so I changed them both. It still does it. Any help would be great. Thanks, Romy.

    Possibly a vacuum leak?

I would think it could be the timing is way off and you are getting a plug firing while the valve is still open. Possibly the vacuum advance is stuck or something. That would be where I would start anyways, with a timing light.
