help!

    i want to remove the smog pump from my buick 350...i know removing the pump wont boost hp much...but what do i do about the hose that goes into the back under the air filter.....should i plug it or leave the hose? and will the straight everyday performance be negativily effected if removed? its been on since the mid 90s i think...bought the car from burbank im in pa please help

    on a stock 73 455, disconnecting the a/p was good for .5 in the 1/4. you wont get that much with a 350, but any gain is good.
    as you disconnect and plug hoses, blip it and listen for odd sounds. the odd sounds will tell you oops and try another. or just disconnect the whole setup.
