Hey guys, Its me, Dallas. I am feeling a bit lost because of the valvetrain noise I am hearing from my sportwagon 400. I can hear it while driving and idling alike, here is a video for reference. https://linksharing.samsungcloud.com/ojeL7jITHnvK
The sound is missing on the other side though. I can see some oil (im not sure if that is enough) flowing into the valves and I guesse I am just curious if it is only louder because there is the vent filter or because something is very wrong. This is my first time ever working on a classic car and I have and still am learning a lot, I appreciate everything!!

If you only hear the noise from the drivers side the most likely problem is the front cam bearing. This is a well known issue, where the bearing blocks the oil flow.

T/A makes a front cam bearing which fixes this issue.

Always check for an exhaust leak first. Many a time I thought I had a bad lifter or something only to find out it was a leaky manifold gasket. Put a hose to your ear and use the other end to listen around the edges of the exhaust manifold/head to make sure it isn't that first.

A single port exhaust leak can indeed sound like a mechanical problem. Good point.
