I'm confused - nothing new there - on a 1967 340-4, where does the throttle return spring mount? A picture would help..... My manual only shows the 400 which could be different, or maybe mine is hosed! The hole it should go in appears to be slotted so the spring hook will not stay in?!??!

This is the diagram my book shows. It is a 2bbl in the drawing, so I don't know if this helps.

    Thanks Joe - that helps.

I wonder why my hole at the top is "slotted"? Did it wear out?

Anyone know of a place to purchase these springs? Mine is missing.

That's weird. You can probably pick up a brass bushing from a hardware store. Maybe you could flare it on either side to keep it in place. Or if you weld, or know somebody who does, you could pop a few spot welds to close that opening at the bottom.

I looked at Cars Inc, ClassicBuicks, and Buick Farm and did not come up with the return spring.
