The 73-77 A-bodies would all swap - Regal, Century, Monte Carlo, Grand Prix, Cutlass.

The 64-72 A-bodies may also work, but I'm not positive.

Thanks for the reply...I kind of figured that they were all the same A-body...The only problem I think that I might have is the I think that the rear brake drums on the GP are 11" compared to 9" or 9 1/2" for the Century...

edit...I have also deleted the other posts of this same question in the other sections...

Nothing wrong with bigger rear brakes! You should be able to find bigger rear brakes on stationwagons, taxis and cop cars. Good thing to upgrade to!

watch out for the bolt pattern- 5" vs. 4.75" bolt circle

Well, a little more info...the rear end is coming out of a 73 Century and going into the GP...The GP has the 11" brakes...The backing plates will swap between the two rear ends so that we can keep the 11" brakes on the GP...And the GP has 4 3/4" bolt pattern like the Century...

Had the right rear wheel bearing give out and wear the axle deep enough that the axle came completely out of the rear end, getting past the bolt on retaining plate and all...The only thing that saved the car from ending up completely on the ground was that I came to a stop with about a foot of the axle shaft still inside the tube!!! :eek2: I was turning onto the street in front of my brother's house when it happened, and was only going maybe 10-15 mph when it came out with a crunch and a lot of gear/spline chatter and wouldn't go anywhere...first thought was that it was the tranny that broke since the engine would rev fine but no forward motion...It took two floor jacks and a bumper jack to get the car high enough in the air to slide the axle/wheel back in the tube and get the car towed up the driveway...Luckily it happened right in front of his house and not on the highway!!!

A REALLY BIG THANKS GO OUT TO MIKE GARRISON(RACEBUICKS) for the rearend...Mike is one heckuva good guy to know!!! Thanks Mike!!!
