    187 - trim code - red buckets???
NN2 - lower body color Burgandy Mist (NN) with a black top (2)
P - for the motor code year - missing a digit after the 'P'. 102 is motor production code.

    LL - axle - 2.73 one-legger
    0 - assembled October
JH - Transmission code TH350 (153 is production code).

    1 - Power Brakes
    8 - Power Steering

    HTH (and is accurate - I haven't decoded a '69 before :) )

    Marco,

Thanks alot!!! What else is usually on the protecto plate??? The car also has a console, had an AM/FM with a rear speaker and the engine is a 350 4V. it also has tilt steering.

The 'P' on the beginning of the 2nd line is the motor code, probably means 'RP' which is a 350-4bbl motor.

A console/tilt steering column would not be identified on the P-O-P.

If the AM/FM with the rear speaker was original, your P-O-P would also list a '6' on the bottom line, along with the 1 and 8.

P-O-P's have been known to be wrong before :gt:
