Hello, New to the board. Thanks for having me. Looking for: Partial (gotta start somewhere) or complete factory 2x4 set up for my 65 Skylark Gran Sport. Also, Can anyone help me find 2 5/8" Dia. Stewart Warner custom Greenline gauges? Water temp, oil pressure, amp. I would rather buy them from someone on the board that knows that they work instead of rolling the dice on E-Bay.

    Thanks

    A pleasure to meet you

Hello, I am in the right place-You don't have to ask me twice to talk about my car. I am the second owner of my 65 skylark Gran Sport. It is a numbers matching survivor. Built in April and spent it's whole life in Ca. 104K well maintained miles. I have it's service history (and all documentation) and the only time anyone went into the motor was to replace the water pump. It even has the original exhaust!!! I rebuilt the front end completely and put Dunlop Gt radials on it-It had biased ply when I bought it. I need to rebuild the carb. It is an air car, automatic hardtop. It had a decent repaint in the eighties-same color with some metal flake. The original owner (92yrs. old) hit the garage and dented the passenger side fender and cracked the bumper at the center crease-this is the ONLY bondo on the car (aside from factory of course) and the bumper is an easy weld. If I find another one I might keep this bumper as a backup. NO RUST-ultra clean car!! Eventually it will be a ground up resto but she drives great now. As a matter of fact I'll wait for the perfect fender to have a real no bondo car. The interior is nice some scratches here and there-dashpad is perfect. The headliner and package tray are stained from moisture but thats about it. My other car is a 65 Catalina 2+2 421 4 barrel all options and a 60,000 mile Ca. car. The only thing that needs is a dashpad because the original is warped. It will eventually get 3 2's but it can wait. My primary focus right now is the Buick so that's why I'm here. Any one out there with a am/fm for my Skylark? Need the greenline gauges too. I'll make her mint but I drive em' too. Also would like to find a 65 Riv GS-who wouldn't? Thanks for the welcome! Oh, I almost forgot-Can anybody tell me who in the Chicagoland area has experience rebuilding nailheads? Thanks again for the welcome! Steve

    Welcome Steve, :TU:

I'm kind of partial to the 65's as well. Mine is originally from Florida, A/C, auto, hardtop. Don't have the full history like you, but do have original bill of sale.

Did we ask for pics yet??? How about one, or two, or, thirty eight. :Brow:  Mine's in my avatar.
