  2. In and effort to reduce the spam on the site, several years ago I had went to a program where I manually approve each and every new registration. This approval gives you full access to the site, to pictures, and to post, among other things. To be able to enjoy the full potential of the board for you, you need to be fully registered.. and that's easy.. Just send an email to me at jim@trishieldperformance.com and I will verify your registration. This policy will remain in effect indefinitely, as it has completely eliminated the bad actors from our site, who would spam and hack it, once they gained access. Thanks JW

Hi everyone! Wet doesn't even begin to describe how new I am to the world of classic auto restoration. I bought a 68 Wildcat custom coupe back in October, as I wanted a project I could work on where I can see the results of my efforts during this weird time we're in; something that reminds me of the cultural optimism of my youth. (Yeah, I know, 68 wasn't exactly a calm year historically speaking, but...) I'm looking forward to learning a lot from all of the discussions this community has about bringing these old, beautiful, rolling pieces of art back to their (almost, hey I'm not made of money) full glory.

    Cheers!

Welcome! You picked a heckuva project! You’re gonna learn more about Buick Wildcats (and yourself) than you thought possible. Look at my avatar, then ask me how I know...

If you have a question, use the search function. I have learned that a lot of my questions have been asked before and answered. Really a time saver. Welcome to the forum from the owner of a '66 Wildcat. Love our 'Cats.

Welcome from North West NJ. This is a great site. I bought my first old Buick 11 months ago. My second last month, and today I was welding in floor pans. Advise from another new guy: take small steps, these old cars can consume money and time faster than a 24hr wh*** house.

Thanks for the welcome Joe! Yeah, I think this project may take me a while, but it will be good to learn a lot of new things. It's a great mix of scary and exiting!

These are the sellers pics. My Wildcat is squeezed into the carport , next to two cords of wood, so no good pics of my own yet.
