Hello everyone. Quickly looking through the board, my steel-laced couch on wheels seems out of place... oh well... I'm new to the board, (obviously). I live in Ontario, and I'm the proud owner of a 1984 Buick Electra Park Avenue. It has 57,000km, 307ci V8, and really the only thing that has been altered is the stereo, and the paint job. Was beige w/beige vinyl top. Now its Caddy Candy Apple, but still the beige top. This car was purchased from the original owner for $3000CND with 21,000km on it. Then I had it appraised, $9500 lol. So i think i did fairly well, even considering no one else will ever buy this detroit iron land yacht from me. It's spent most of its life in storage. Anyway, glad to be here. UPDATE : 04.19.03 Car is now for sale. $4000CND. Please check the 4Sale Thread for specifics. Tell a friend! Great for second family car, or just summer cruising fun.
You'll fit right in with your steel-laced couch:laugh: I see lot sof folks with the 80's big Buicks. That's a very clean car you have there! I see most of these in horrid shape around this part of the neighborhood...I guess because they get driven into the ground. Welcome aboard the coolest Buick website on the planet!:bglasses:
I live in Orillia Ontario, small hole of about 37,000ppl. You should see some of the joke rice-burners around here.... I think I may have started a new trend however, because every few weeks I see another young kid cruisin around in big ole' boats like mine. Dodge Polara's, Buick Skylarks, Caddys etc. Now, I know my car is no muscle machine. But anyone have any info on mods for the 307? is there ANYTHING i can do??
While the Oldsmobile 307 is a reliable engines found in many BOC products, it is very difficult to add performance. What we eventually did for our daily driver Regal is find a Oldsmoblie 403 out of a late 1970s full size BOC and after a performance rebuild change out the engine. It is a drop in replacement and use of your 1984 intake manifold will permit the use of the computer control of the engine. An easy change and it you paint the engine the same color as your original engine will be relatively difficult to spot until you hit the go petal.
Welcome to the site. You've got a nice car there I have seen one around town that an older gentleman owns in showroom condition, would love to get my hands on it. You will find that any question you have regarding Buicks or anything else will get a response that will be very helpful. Take care, Lloyd 1977 Buick Regal 2dr
