Looking for the clip that supports the two heater hoses on 70 and 71 455 non ac car. The clip attaches to the intake manifold on the passenger side.
I may have one on the engine out of my 71 GS 350 parts car. When I get a chance I will take a look. Tim tcarson@vcn.com
I went to opgi website and checked out their bracket (#HH34580) it is close and it's upper half is identical but the one i'm looking for is "J" shaped and mounts onto the intake manifold opgi's is missing the lower portion. Thanks for pointing me in that direction though Jim I appreciate it. :TU: Still looking if anyone happens to run across one...
Just trying to offer assistance... Several years ago I could't find one either, so I made one using the old clip as a template. I bent a piece of steel, using a long socket as a roller, and then had it plated. It's smaller than the original (not as wide) and looks quite good. If you're not looking to keep everything stock in appearance, this may be an option for you. Just an idea... Paul
I went and looked last night, and my 71 350 has one on it. I'm sure the 350 and 455 bracket would be the same, as they usually share brackets for the same year. If it's the one you need I will be happy to sell it to you. Tim tcarson@vcn.com
Tim that sounds good to me i appreciate it just let me know how much you're asking for it and how much it will cost to ship to albuquerque new mexico 87123. Just to be sure if you have a 71' assembly manual its figure 12-15, many thanks and i hope to hear from you soon, :beer Mark Smith
Hi Mark, I'm sure shipping would not run much, as I'm in Wyoming. I don't have a 71 manual, is there anyway you could scan the page and e-mail it to me ? Tim
Just for everyone's information, The clip is different for the 70 and 71 cars. The 70 heater hose clip is short, the 71 is much longer and looks like the one in the above picture. Duane
