The headliner in my regal does not want to corperate. Ive ahd the 3m glue on it and it bled through and left nasty stains, so i took it out painted it, and put it back up there, this time with some kinda spray stuff, anyways all my interior is done, but the d@mn headliner wont stay up. What can i use, i think the headliner is so heavy or the board is just shot.

I've never done a headliner. Someone will tell you the secret I'm sure. When it comes time for my new one, there is no way I'm doing it myself though. I've heard too many stories about what a PIA they are.

I have done many. What happens is the foam between the cloth and board gets rotten( crumbles but is sticky). Once the board( fiberglass shell) is out of the car, remove the cloth completely and discard- it can't be used over. Then the foam must be competely removed-use a med stiff brush and do small sections at a time. Vacuum loose foam with shop vac. The new material I use comes with a foam back already on. I use a glue that is used for vinyl tops- with stands high heat. I haven't found a spray bomb glue yet that works well- they don't have the high heat properties . I can get just about any color if i have a sample of your old one. Email or PM if I can help.
