I'm in the process of restoring a 1970 GS Stage1. I pulled out all the interior including the headliner last June. I went to pull out the headliner bows today and noticed there is what appears to be sound deadener glue to the roof. My question is that what it is or is it part of the headliner? I noticed there is surface rust in various places on the inside of the roof most can be removed with a wire wheel, but some can't be reached. Any suggestions on treating or removing the rust? Thanks for any help, Kraig

i used a rust product from this high quality place called... wal-mart... lol its called rust remover. apply it with a brush. let it dry.. wash it off and its done. it turns into a hard black form and eats the rust. i used some on my floor for surface rust.. give it a try
