I was coming back from a mini cruise on saturday and waiting at stop and go light when a newer mustang gt stopped beside me. light goes green he squeels off so i decided then mmmm time to see what my new 455 will do.he has a fender on me when i get on it ,the next thing i know i'm up to 60 and his liscence plate is in my rear view mirror, i back off at that point. next stop just for fun i asked how did i do,he says you had me out of the hole but at the end i was gaining on you.i left it at that(had a hard time containing my laughter).last year at the track a comparable mustang and i raced (350 in mine at the time) i beat him but i had to work for it.so i am happy going to the 455.gotta luv it

I wanted to smoke a Ford the other day but could not get papers big enough :0

For some reason the Mustangs never want any part of my GSX but seem to think the GN is easy prey (not real bright are they?)

  3. last year a guy at work got himself a new mustanf GT convert, I see him almost every night on the way home and he was eggn me on so at the light I gave him a good run, I'm sorry its not a buick story, it was my 4800lbs dodge polara, 383 3 spd auto. I was ahead of him until I let off @100mph. He was pretty quiet for a while about how fast his car is. Top speed he would have had me but the old girl smokes when shes over 3500 rpm.

I purposely parked next to him everyday for a couple weeks just to rub it in.

Yesterday one of the guys at work decided to dbut his "Steeda" GT Mustang ($51,000) the same day I showed my fresh 455. I decided to take a cruise at lunch and met up with him along the way. He waved me on to follow him to a small side street behind town and we lined up. He called it, I lit it up and he parked it. I scared the crap out him :Brow: My car was heard all through town  and I got a :TU: from an older gentleman who watched the whole thing. This is my first 455 and I do have to admit I love it.

I felt kinda guilty beating up on a small engine ford but yet it was also fun at the same time.

What's with Mustang people wanting race you at 45 MPH rolls? Pisses me off.

Come on you mustang dorks slow your arses down and lets do this the correct way. Everytime I see one of those guys i try to get them to slow it down. I'm at 2,500 rpm and way out of my torque power band so it's not going to help me any at that rate.

I race up to their side window and drop off countless times but they are to stupid to get the idea. They continue goosing it though. I guess it comes down to their high winding small blocks. They are probably shifting at 7,000 rpms while I'm shifting at 5,000. So I guess they are just fine and dandy going at a 45 mph roll. Still doesn't make it right.

I tell them now, if they want to go then I'll see ya at the next light. Or slow your ass down. Idiots!

BTW, I have a big block (440) Charger now but hoping to come into a 68 buick.

I always tell them Rolls are for Bakeerys. If they want to drag I'll meet them at the next light. I don't run Hoosier Quick-time Pros on the street to roll it on!! :Smarty: :3gears: :3gears:
