    Hello all,

I've read up on the many ways to upgrade handling/braking in g-bodies. I am hoping I can get a little clarification and/or opinions on the matter.

Two cost effective options in my mind:

1.) S-10 11" brakes, stock spindles w/ stock replacement tubular control arms (UB Machine) Bolts up to stock, as I understand.

2.) B-body 'tall' spindles with tubular upper control arms to suit.

I have a 1975 chevelle and a 1977 sprint(might be an elcamino, not sure) as donor cars. The benefits of the 'negative roll' and availablity of my donors make me lean towards the 'tall' spindle option.

What year donor I am looking for to match the brake line size/lower ball joints?

Will the b-body spindles change the ride height?

Problems with bumpsteer with the 'tall' spindles?

    :Do No:

    Thanks
    Devon

if the tall spindles do it'll be one inch taller...maybe two but not 100% positive

Anyone use the 'tall' ball joints from Howe with stock spindles?

Anyone that's modded their front end, tell me about it!!

I hang out in the circle track world. The howe ball joints will change your roll center. I used UB a-arms . I ordered them at 7 1/2" and used the big ball joint! (moog k6024)

I used 75 impalla spindles ( bigger brakes and more pad selection) reamed the upper taper for the bigger ball joint. I cut out the stock area for the ball joint in the lower control arm and made a new one on the lathe for the bigger ball joint (moog k6141) The howe ball joint are good but very expencive, I wanted to use stock stuff that in a pinch I could get anywhere! Brake calipers were $18 --beat that!!!LOL! I tried to use howe spindles but they won't work as the steering arms hit the sway bar links Just so you know! You could use stock car sway bars and arms but thats more work than I wanted!!
    Hope that helps?

    alec296 i need another buick

you need 77 and up impala /caprice/delta88/98/electra
    spindles the 75s are different
on a gbody they should be direct bolt on but upper arms should be changed for alignment/hiegth of spindle differences
    a 75 chevelle and 77 sprint are not b-body
i have b-body baer claw brakes with hotchkis suspension on my 72 convert
the hotchkis suspension comes with bump steer tie rod connections
i also have a 82 regal with the big s-10 dual piston brakes from an extreme s-10

    both not a hard setup

you need to get the b-body spindles with big boltpattern wheels
then you get camaro 1LE rotors(13in) they will have g-body boltpattern
    and metric studs
