    BUICK RACE FOOTAGE:

I dont know if I posted this allready but here it is:

We had some fun on the American Sunday show, there was a 1/4 mile race to just for fun and you could win a nice Throphy.
I entered the GS"X" in the Pro Street/Altered class and my wife in the 93 PA entered the bracket class.
She won the public award cause in her first race ever she finished 5th overall and send alot of veteran bracket racers home.
Adn the GS"X" and I won 3th place in the Pro Street/Altered class, were the only other cars that were running in that class were tubechassis cars and only one or two Super Street cars.
There wasn't a class lineup, everybody just lined up and raced, and your best time was noted for the class you entered in.

And here a video of a couple of runs we made on this circuit straightaway.
Very bad surface so adjusted the setup and tire pressure along the way.

Robert -- you must have really hurt the owner of the orange MOPAR's feelings.

Yeah her Trophy was much bigger! But hey I got more of them!

Yes I did hurt his feelings, he had a bad day his car was totaly out of alignment and had A LOT of play in his steeringbox.

So my mate Ron fixed that for him, and the Roadrunner was ok again and we raced again in June, and nope the Roadrunner couldn't keep up there either.
Its a 4 speed manual 440 stroked to 500ci, that had just 300miles run.
With his old 440 engine his car went in the high 10s.

Later in June at the dragstrip we had a great time cause we were on a winning streak, shame we got trans problems in the finals cause I'm sure we could have taken first place!
On the last run, in this video the car lifted the front wheels.

Anyway the driver (in his 50s) of the Orange Roadrunner is a nice man I know him from the races, he was one of the very few drivers who followed my progress when I first came to play..and gave me thumbs up on the Buick.
He had the 500ci shortblock build very quickly and it blew up at the races in July when a rod was sticking outside the block.
I hope he has more fun with the replacement engine that his MOPAR friends are putting together for him with parts and a shortblock that will be put together from different peoples stash etc.

    Hi Opa.
Have You post photos of Your 1972 Buick GSX somewhere? Your car is pretty. I especially like dark blue with white hood + chrome headlights combination.
When I was in high school, at nearby shop parking i everyday saw "abandoned" green 1970-1972 Skylark :blast: which sat on flat tires. Although I didn't know even brand of "that car", it was my dream. I must admit that I am from Poland (not so far from Netherlands), so see that car was pretty unique.
Now I'am going to buy 1972 Skylark and make it a GSX "specific"-clone:); I like clean Skylarks with chrome headlights covers, but also with GSX hood (no spoilers and even tach on hood :) ). I previously prefered whole black car (however, I prefer white interiors). Your color combination inspires me to add to just skylark a GSX hood in color comb.: black car+white hood or dark blue car+white hood. In sense of performance I'll rather build a mild street 455 with 400-500hp. Once again thanks for inspiration+ :3gears:
